EVALUATION QUESTION 6
Question 6: what have you learned about the technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Equipment we used:
I learned how to use the equipment that we needed to film our thriller for example the digital camcorder. i learned how to zoom in and out by assessing the configuration buttons within the camcorder therefore enabling me to zoom in and out but also keep the focus the same, also how to film the thriller using the camcorder. we also used an tripod to keep our shots steady so that it was done to a good quality to which we could watch the thriller therefore it was a professional standard.
I also learned how to use adobe photoshop pro cs6 in order to edit down clips to shorten them but also fade shots in and out therefore using the tools which were available to make the thriller more all round and not just simple. I went on a website to create my indent which i used in the beginning of my thriller. we named it after the beginning of all our group members initials. we edited our film using adobe premiere pro cs6 which helped us put our clips together, shorten down clips that wasn't needed but also add sound to the background to create non-digetic sound. this is what we used to finish our thriller.
internet sites:
I also used many internet sites in order to complete my thriller and create my evaluation questions for example i used youtube to post my thriller on and for my question 7 which was filmed on camera and then posted on youtube. i also learned how to embed a youtube video and how to put it onto my blogger.
we also used blogger to post everything we did and deepened my knowledge of websites that i can use to write about the audience feedback and other questions that was needed for my evaluation questions. For this i used sites like prezi, popplet and infogr.am to do our evaluation questions on. which before this whole process i never knew existed or even how to access these and use these appropriately.

Audience feedback
Audience Feedback
the audience who watched our film said that the storyline was very interesting as it is relatable however very unexpected as they didn't expect one of the main characters to die first. The film wasn't predictable as they didn't see most things coming and the non diegetic sound complimented the film very well. the use of the diegetic sound was very smart, for example the sound of the door opening and the notification sound from the phone which both gave a realistic feel to it.
however they did have a few critical view points such as the shots at the beginning being a little to jumpy, we fixed this after our first draft and the audience viewed it again, giving us positive feedback about it.

screening for the thriller: Vegeance
We let 20 people view our film so that we had a good amount of audience feedback.we asked them about the editing, sound and cinematography, to see if we did well at them. There was a lot of positive feedback however we did also get some negative criticism from the viewers.
The positive feedback we received was for the editing. the viewers liked how the beginning of the film was edited in the fast pace making it look like an actual flashback and then how it continued to the present from the past. they also liked the music which was playing at the background as it created more tension throughout the film creating the effect that something bad is going to happen. they mentioned how the scene where ben killed Stephanie looked really good as it seemed realistic.
The negative criticism we received was that there could have been more diegetic sounds, also the clips of the film were quite jumpy and there could have been fading in. this could have made the film look more smooth and well put together. They also said that the lighting in some of the clips of the film were a bit dark however it did have a good effect to the film.

Title sequence
Title sequence
for our title sequence we went on Dafont to find the font we wanted to use. we knew we wanted our font to be bold and dark as it will suit the thriller theme. we also wanted it to stick out therefore we didn't want something small that will not be seen. we decided with either a broken font theme as it represented the broken friendship in our film. or the blurred out one as it looked disrupted like their friendship.

first draft/ evaluation
First Draft Evaluation
First draft Evaluation
we asked others to view our film to get some feedback, we found out that the audience who viewed our thriller thought that the beginning of the thriller was a little jumpy, however they said the audio and the actual storyline was very interesting and it fitted in well together therefore we re-edited the start to make sure it fitted together and the shots were in logical order in doing so this improved our thriller where we could have made silly mistakes.

Editing 1
Editing 1
We edited our film using Adobe Premiere Pro. The first day we edited our film we got all the cameras we used and uploaded all our videos. we then placed the shots together in order and made sure that the clips were short and fast paced. we made sure that the clips fitted well together and they didn't jump from one scene to another making it look unprofessional. Furthermore we then added titles to the film but also made sure they faded out and faded in but that they were also within the same position.

1st day of filming
First day of filming
On our first day of filming we arranged to meet up in school. we filmed on the school site making sure that the area in which we were filming in was empty to prevent others coming into the shot. However we did face a few problems, for example the camera stopped working during one of our shots which in this situation we had to replace the camera and begin our filming again. Also we had to be cautious of the time as the children from the lower years moved classes after the bell went which could have been a problem as they could have got into our shots. however we did manage to film the first half of the film during our first day filming. Therefore we filmed the falling out between the two characters which had been best friends for years but also how vengeance comes about between the two and leads to uncertainty amongst the other person as to what they meant but also what will happen

3rd production meeting
3rd production meeting
During this meeting we all came together and came up with final ideas. We assured that everyone was please with the storyboard and planned how we were going to film. As we didn't have enough time to film during lesson we had to arrange time where we could film. We discussed the dates and the times that we were going to film and ideas of where the best places to film would be. we also discussed the costumes and props which would be needed so that we had them ready for when we filmed.

Description
1
1
In the first shot there will be a
flash back of a little boy and a little girl which are going to be flashbacks
of when ben and Stephanie was younger, whiles using a medium shot.
1
2
We are then going to also use a
medium shot to then come back to the present when ben and Stephanie was best
friend as growing up.
1
3
Then we are going to use a medium
shot slowly going into a long shot of ben and Stephanie grown up having an
argument and the friendship ending.
1
4
In
the scene we are then going to use a shot revers, shot to show Stephanie and
ben trying to resolve the argument and trying to save their friendship.
1
5
We
are then going to do an over the shoulder shot wiles using a close up on ben
and him starting to get annoyed, which music over the top to build up the
tension.
1
6
We
will then use a POV (point of view shot), where we will be using framing
through a window to show both friends still arguing. Also you can see someone
round the corner looking at Stephanie and ben arguing and no one knows who it
is.
1
7
In
this scene we are also going to use a POV (point of view shot) of a person
walking away. However, you are not able to see who the person is. There is
going to be dramatic music over the top to build tension and make people
wonder who it is.
1
8
We
are then going to use a close up tracking shot of someone’s feet also walking
away, this will link into the scene before to show a different angle and
point of the person walking away. Also still using dramatic music.
2
9
We
are then going to skip to a different room and place to show that time has
moved without having to film it all. Using a medium shot to show on of the
best friends at work in her office.
2
10
We
are then also going to do a close up on the keyboard to show her typing, to
give a better affect of what is going on, and then use this shot to zoom out
on the person sitting there.
2
11
There
is then going to be a sudden extreme close up of a text being received on a
phone. This is going to have a dramatic music over the top and it is going to
be able the CD.
2
12
We
will then do a close up on Stephanie’s face showing her reaction and that she
is shocked to have received the text.
2
13
We
are then going to do a scene of the outside of the best friend coming through
the gates. We will capture this by using a crane shot and we will have a
natural music over the top just to make it seem normal.
2
14
There will then be a POV (point of
view shot) used to make out as if someone is watching ben (the other best
friend) entering the school. Wiles using a dramatic music to show that
someone is watching his that he doesn’t know about.
2
15
This
will also link in with the shot above of ben still get followed whilst using
a POV (point of view shot) to show that the unknown person is still watching
him, but this time wiles he is going up the stairs.
2
16
There
will then be an extreme close up of a phone that Stephanie will be holding
with a text saying ‘he is here’, we will here a notification sound to show
that she received the text and then slow zooming out on the phone.
2
17
Then
jumping to a close up shot on her face to show that she is angry and there
will be music getting louder in this shot to show the anger in her face.
2
18
There
will then be a match on action of ben walking into the door.
2
19
There
will then be a match on action to show ben coming through the other side of
the door.
2
20
We
then are going to use an eye line match, and an extreme close up to show ben
and Stephanie looking at each other in different shots.
3
21
There
will then be a close up on ben pocket showing the CD hanging out and loud and
dramatic music showing that this CD must be important.
3
22
We
will then use an eye line match to show Stephanie looking at the CD in bens
pocket, whilst still using the loud and dramatic music.
3
23
There
will then be a medium shot of Stephanie on her phone, with natural music, as
ben doesn’t know what’s going on.
3
24
There
will then be a POV (point of view shot) of ben holding the CD and no music to
build the tension.
3
25
There
will then be a POV (point of view shot) used to show a pair of feet walking
through the door into the room that ben and Stephanie are in.
3
26
Still
using the POV (point of view shot) you will see an arm-hitting ben on the
head with a object, and loud music to show danger.
3
27
There
will then be a black screen for a few seconds to show the ben has either died
or been knocked out, to build tension.
3
28
Then
a long shot used to show two people dragging the body, however you are only
able to see Stephanie and still do not know who the other person is.
3
29
Then
there will be a low close up of the body on the floor to show that something
bad has happened.
3
30
Last
of all an extreme close up of a hand closing the door wiles ben is still
inside.
